Dartford - and surrounding areas
|
The bint is looking to move from E17 and can only afford a 3 bed in Kent
Seeing as the only time I've been out in Dartford was about 1984 to see soft cell at flicks any info I have is out dated by now
Apparently the schools are good (she has an 8yo) but other than that any ideas on the good areas and the bad areas
Thank you lovely Kentish people

Dartford has no redeeming features. At all. A complete and utter shithole. Little village called Greenhithe just up the road, slightly better and nearer to Bluewater. Nice hamlets further inland.
Avoid Dartford. Although I did see Su Pollard then once, in the hanging baskets section of B&Q.

I would reckon Longfield rather than dartford. Primary and secondary schools nearby, station 2 stops from victoria - mostly elderly live in the area so not much disturbance

Depends on what part of Dartford you are looking at. West Dartford is ok, Id afford East Dartford and town centre.
As a town its not much cop these days, however if you live in West Dartford you don't really have any need to venture into town.
I've lived here for 40 years. Its ok, but the town is full of pricks at night and chavs at day. Stick to the pubs on the outskirts and its ok.
Rose & Crown The Dart Bird in Hand Ship (real old mans pub and hasn't been decorated in at least 60 years, but a very good pint and cheap)

Renting or buying?
You can stay on this side of the river for both if you go to Tilbury or Southend
